What are your office hours?
Our office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. We are closed on Sunday.
Do you accept walk-ins or same-day appointments?
Yes. We know pain rarely happens on a convenient schedule, so we welcome walk-ins and offer same-day appointments whenever possible. Calling ahead at (314) 965-8084 helps us minimize your wait time.
Do you accept insurance?
Utterback Chiropractic accepts a variety of insurance plans, and our staff handles the insurance paperwork for you. Because coverage varies from plan to plan, we recommend calling our office to verify your specific chiropractic benefits before your visit.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, and Android Pay. Visit our payment options page for more details.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
Most patients can schedule directly with our office without a referral from a medical doctor. Some insurance plans do require a referral for coverage, so check with your insurance provider or ask our team to help you verify your benefits.
What should I expect at my first visit?
Your first visit includes a review of your health history, a discussion of your symptoms and goals, and a thorough chiropractic examination. From there, we explain our findings and recommend a personalized care plan. Learn more on our Your First Visit and What to Expect pages, and save time by downloading our new patient forms.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, sciatica, herniated and bulging discs, carpal tunnel syndrome, scoliosis, auto accident injuries, and work injuries. View our full list of conditions treated.
What is SoftWave therapy?
SoftWave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic wave technology to stimulate the body’s natural healing response. It is commonly used for chronic joint pain, tendon problems, plantar fasciitis, sports injuries, and muscle pain that hasn’t improved with other care. Most sessions are quick, and there is no downtime afterward.
What is spinal decompression therapy?
Spinal decompression therapy gently stretches the spine to create negative pressure within the discs. This can help relieve pressure on irritated nerves and support healing for herniated discs, bulging discs, sciatica, and degenerative disc disease, offering a non-surgical option for many patients.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Chiropractic care is widely recognized as a safe, drug-free approach to treating many types of back, neck, and joint pain when performed by a licensed chiropractor. Before any treatment, we review your health history and perform an exam to make sure our care is appropriate for you.
Do chiropractic adjustments hurt?
Chiropractic adjustments are usually not painful. Many patients feel immediate relief and improved mobility. Some people experience mild soreness for a day or so afterward, similar to how you might feel after a workout, which typically resolves quickly.
Do you treat children?
Yes. We provide gentle pediatric chiropractic care tailored to a child’s size and stage of development. Techniques are modified to be safe and comfortable for infants, kids, and teens.
Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?
Yes. Prenatal chiropractic care uses gentle, modified techniques to help ease pregnancy-related back pain, hip discomfort, and pelvic imbalance. Many expectant mothers find it helps them feel more comfortable as their bodies change.
Can a chiropractor help after a car accident?
Yes. Injuries such as whiplash, neck strain, and back pain are common after an auto accident, and symptoms may not appear right away. Our auto accident injury care includes a thorough evaluation and a treatment plan focused on restoring motion and reducing pain.
What is ChiroThin?
ChiroThin is a supervised weight loss program that combines a structured, low-calorie eating plan with nutritional supplementation. It is designed to help patients reach their weight loss goals safely with guidance and support from our team.
Do you offer massage therapy?
Yes. Our massage therapy services help relax tight muscles, improve circulation, and support recovery. Massage pairs well with chiropractic adjustments for longer-lasting relief.
Do you have Spanish-speaking staff?
Yes. Our team provides services in both English and Spanish so more families in the St. Louis area can receive the care they need comfortably.
How many chiropractic visits will I need?
Every patient is different. The number of visits depends on your condition, how long you’ve had symptoms, and how your body responds to care. After your exam, we’ll recommend a personalized plan and adjust it as you improve, with a focus on long-term wellness.
